The story is about B.J. Blazkowicz whose mission is to tear down Nazis in an alternate history where the Allied forces lost World War 2. He earned the nickname “Terror-Billy” from the Nazis themselves. Though he’s aging, he can’t stop yet since his work is not quite done. Set sixty years into the future of a fictionalized Earth, players on a team work together to defend or secure control points on a map or escort a payload across the map in a limited amount of time. You can gain cosmetic rewards such as victory poses and character skins. Though they don’t affect gameplay, who does not want a cooler-looking character?

The game has casual play, competitive ranked mode, several ‘arcade’ game modes and a customizable server browser. New characters, game modes and maps were added post-release to continuously improve the game.

Considered to be one of the pioneering first-person shooter games, Doom introduced IBM-compatible computers features such as third-dimension spatiality, 3D graphics, networked multiplayer gameplay, and support for player-created modifications with the Doom WAD format. From its released date in 1993, the series has given birth to numerous sequels, expansion packs and even a film.

In this game, the player gets to control “Doomguy”, an unnamed space marine, while battling the forces of Hell which includes the undead and demons.
